Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has diminished and he is open to explore a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is currently midway through the four-year deal he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the summer of 2023.
The veteran forward has accumulated an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, playing a key role in them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which marked the first significant trophy of his notable career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier stated that he would welcome to see Kane go back to England, where he needs 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England leader has now indicated that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he once was, and would seriously consider extending his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could certainly see that," he remarked.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have learned in my career is that different chances and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top marksman for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had escaped him until he lifted the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would feel after overcoming his trophy drought, but now believes it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
